My favourite point on the compass is that of Imbolc. So deeply this tide holds my heart. Sandwiched personally between the anniversaries of the death and birth of my parents, it offers the first stirrings of spring.

It offers us the beginning, the very beginning, the thaw in the ice, the crow begins to fly to make its nests, the milky sap of the dandelion formulates. The fire of the heart needs stoking, the waters of the body, and the inner and outer world refreshed.

The name Imbolc is derived from the old Irish word, ‘Imbolg’, which means, ‘in the belly’. This reflects the growing life within the earth and the anticipation of new life.

The Goddess Brigid embodies the powerful aspects of fertility, healing, and inspiration. She descended from the heavens on Imbolc to bless the Earth with her presence.

Together we will welcome the light, whisper wishes, cleanse, ignite and craft seasonal tokens.

A circle for illumination, bringing fire into our hearts, and transformation.

We will begin with an option reflective share, before entering into ritual, mediation, sound and creating our own St Bridgit's crosses.
